Migrants In AP Revolt Against Cops, Attacks Them:- The Centre recently asked all the state governments to allow and make arrangements to help out the migrant workers to reach their native places. The state governments made arrangements to receive the migrants from their states and arranged quarantine centres at the borders. In a shocking move, the migrant workers revolted against the government of Andhra Pradesh for not allowing them to move out from the state. The migrants gathered in hundreds and reached the toll plaza on Kovvur, Andhra Pradesh. Some of the migrants attacked the police who tried to control the situations.

With the situations losing control, the cops had to stage lathi charge on the protestors. 300 migrant workers of Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha reached Kovvur in heaps and staged protests. The transport was blocked completely because of the protest. The DCP explained the migrant workers that the permissions from their respective state governments are due. But the migrant workers started pelting stones on the cops and the police staged lathi charge. Similar incident took place in Tolichowki after a construction firm did not allow the migrant workers to reach out their homes. Some of the state governments are yet to clear the permissions because of which the migrant workers are left starved and struggling.
