Government Identifies 170 Coronavirus Hotspots:- The government of India identified 170 districts across the country as hotspots that have a number of positive cases of coronavirus. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, MoHFW said that the affected regions are divided into two zones: containment zone and buffer zone. The containment zone is divided into different sectors with 50 houses each. The containment zones are created to prevent the contagion from spreading. These are locked based on the extent of a number of cases. The containment zone is refined and is based on the mapping of contacts.
The buffer zone has slightly less number of positive cases and is in additional 5-kilometer radius. Hotspots are locked to focus the attention on the districts with a large number of cases in the region. 170 districts of the country are said to have reported a huge number of cases and are kept on strict lockdown till May 3rd. 11 out of 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh are announced as hotspots because of the high number of cases registered. The entire country is on high alert and the upcoming two weeks are quite crucial. Narendra Modi already urged the people to stay back at home till May 3rd.
