Indian Railways Convert Train Coaches Into Isolation Wards:- Amid coronavirus scare, the Indian Railways stepped out with an interesting move and converted the train coaches into isolation wards to treat the patients. If needed, Indian Railways is ready to create three lakh care beds in the coming days if the number of cases takes a toll. North Central Railway General Manager Rajiv Chaudhary informed the news and he said that a coach was initially converted into an isolation ward after they consulted the medical professionals. This can be used in case of emergency clarified Rajiv.

All the Railway divisions across the country identified a ward to set up isolation wards for the coronavirus patients. Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is preparing to serve meals in this coronavirus outbreak if needed during this crisis. Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NCR, Ajeet Kumar Singh said that they are well prepared to serve in any need. An extension of the mandatory Paramedical Medical Examination (PME) of safety is considered.
