A special court in Telangana's Nalgonda district sentenced death for Marri Srinivas Reddy who was found guilty in a triple murder and rape case. The Additional and Special Court judge in Nalgonda announced the verdict last evening saying that he committed heinous crimes. Srinivas Reddy was convicted after he raped two minor girls from the village of Hajipur. Soon after this, he buried three minors including the two minor girls. Along with death penalties, Srinivas Reddy was sentenced 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for kidnap, rape and murder charges.

Srinivas Reddy was fined with Rs 5000 and was sentenced one and half years of imprisonment along with the other sentence. The judge SVV Natha Reddy asked Srinivas Reddy if he had anything to say. He said that Srinivas Reddy can challenge the verdict. Srinivas Reddy is currently residing in Nalgonda district jail and tight security was imposed during the judgment. His family members reached the court on pronouncing the verdict. The incident took place on April 25th, 2019 and Srinivas Reddy was arrested on April 28th.
