TSRTC Employees to go on Strike From October 5th

TSRTC Employees to go on Strike From October 5th:- The employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) decided to go on indefinite strike from October 5th as the government failed to fulfill their demands about the merger with the government. The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of various employee unions said that the government failed to address the pending demands made by the government after which they served a strike notice. The demand started after heavily suffering APSRTC was merged in the AP Government.

Along with the merger, TSRTC employees have been demanding job security, pay revision and payment of the dues along with the filling up of the vacancies in TSRTC. With a lakh of employees, half of them are working on a contract basis. The union leaders said that there is immense work pressure and most of them are working in double shifts. JAC said that not a single employee was recruited in the past five years.

The JAC also clarified that the unpaid dues are running up to Rs 1000 crores and the losses of TSRTC climbed up to Rs 3380 crores.
