RTC Staff Merger To Government Employees:- On Monday, Telangana government has approved the merger of Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). Telangana chief minister KCR has stated that it is impossible to merge TSRTC employees as state government employees. Back in 2019, TSRTC employees also went on strike demanding the merger. KCR then said, the other 57 corporations' employees will also demand the same merger and it will be an impossible demand that can be fulfilled. TSRTC is now having a tough time, they are even unable to pay the salaries to the employees.
Surprisingly on Monday, IT minister KTR said that the chief minister has fulfilled the dream of RTC employees and announced the merger. 43,372 TSRTC employees will now be TS state government staff and will get all the benefits as government staff. The bill be introduced in the state assembly on August 3rd, that is in the monsoon session of the Assembly.

Telangana state cabinet also approved Rs 500 Cr as rain relief fund and directed the district collectors to undertake the highways, culverts, roads and bridges repair works.
TS state government has also announced Rs 4L as the ex gratia for the kin. A total of 40 deaths have been reported in Telangana in various districts. The government is also planning to announce ex gratia for farmers as well.
However, BRS by considering the upcoming assembly elections turned a free hand in providing welfare schemes for the public.
