AP and Telangana RTC's Meeting to Resume Bus Services:- The Centre granted permissions for the inter-state bus services but the talks were not initiated by the governments of Telugu states as the spread was huge. Though the restrictions at the border have been removed by the Centre, the AP Government continued them till last month. The officials of APSRTC and TSRTC will meet at the Bus Bhavan, Hyderabad today to discuss about resuming the inter-state bus services between the Telugu states. The officials of APSRTC already reached Hyderabad for the meeting. TSRTC MD along with the officials will meet them to discuss about the bus services.
The number of buses that would be operated between the Telugu states would be discussed first. Andhra Pradesh already resumed bus services to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Odisha but not to Telangana. The governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will discuss about the services and the agreements. The meeting was planned in June but it was delayed because of the employees tested positive in Bus Bhavan. If the talks are positive, the services between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will resume from September 1st.
