Telangana Governor Halts RTC-Govt Merger:- Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has a twist for the Telangana government. She stopped the proposed merger of the Telangana State Road Transportation Corporation (TSRTC) bill on Friday. She asked for some more time to sign the proposed bill.

BRS government has prepared for the sort of proportionalities to produce the govt and TSRTC merger bill in Telangana assembly in this monsoon session. But now this was put on hold due to the Tamilisai’s pause.

This assembly session will be the last session for the Telangana government in the assembly. At this point of time holding the bill is near zero for the merger. If the governor passes the bill soon before the election code comes in, there are chances for KCR to convene a special session of the Assembly only to pass the bill.

The TSRTC bill was produced in Raj Bhavan only on August 2nd at about 3:30 PM and the assembly was scheduled to meet on August 3rd regarding a merger, at this time the Governor has asked for some more time to go through the time. She is also going to take a legal opinion on the decision taken by the government since the bill is related to financial bill. Approval of the Governor is mandatory as it is related to the financial bill and KCR has no option left rather than waiting. Till now the Governor has rejected four bills of the TS government. Meanwhile, RTC employees are waiting for results.
