West African airlines Asky has stopped its flight operations to Liberia and Sierra Leone over the growing concern of the deadly virus Ebola. The Togo based airlines posted in its website about suspending flight operations and also added that it has stopped import of food from Guinea where the virus was first discovered.
Asky is the second airlines to suspend the flight operations and first was Arik Air, Nigeria's largest airlines. According to the latest figures of United Nations, the death tally rose to 673 by Ebola virus. Ebola kills up 90 percent of those who are infected however patients who undergo early treatment have better chance of survival. Ebola spreads mainly through contact with an infected person's bodily fluids.
Liberia's border crossings have been closed and football activities also got halt in the view to contain this deadly virus. FIFA governing body is expected to pay a visit in August but the program now has been called off. World Health Organisation has reported that so far 1200 cases have come to notice with Ebola virus. Guinea stood first with 319, Seirra Leone reported 224 and Liberia with 129 cases.
