The observation committee headed by the Defence Minister A.K.Antony took opinion from the MLAs.  Out of the 120 MLAs that attended the program 103 voted for Sidharamaiah to be considered for the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka.  

Congress MPs too gave their opinion in favor of Sidharamaiah.

The result of the observation was intimated to the AICC President Sonia Gandhi over phone.  Now the official announcement is left which will give reins to Sidharamaiah to head the Karnataka Government.  

The observation committee consisting of four AICC representatives including A.K.Antony as its leader started taking opinion in the morning from the MLA elected in the recent Assembly elections to make a Chief Minister among them who will make his own group of ministers to run the Government.
