Ahmed Patel, Political Affairs Adviser of AICC President Sonia Gandhi had a discussion with the Seemandhra leaders who resigned in support of the people’s demand for keeping the State United.
When MPs KVP, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Botsa Jhansi, Harsha Kumar, Kanumuri Bapiraju, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Subbirami Reddy and others met Ahmed Patel, they were told that they should maintain peace in the State as the process of bifurcation has already taken place. He said that the required steps for the bifurcation have already started and it is not possible now to retrace the steps at this time.
For that, the MPs told him that it is equally difficult to them to return without a statement of some sort from the Government to hold the bifurcation issue because of the situation in the State.
The meeting actually was called for by Ahmed Patel as Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy said.
