After the Core Committee meeting yesterday, The AICC General Secretary and State In Charge Digvijay Singh made statements that the representations are over and now the Government has to take a decision on the State, that gave no indication of any sort but added to the confusion among the leaders. But the leaders of different regions expressed their opinions.
The representatives of the State were not allowed into the Core Committee. They were only asked to meet the AICC leaders to contribute their opinion. The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana reportedly pleaded to keep the State united. Damodara Raja Narasimha discussed for 2 hours defending separate statehood to Telangana.
The State Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah expressed his confidence that formation of Telangana will be a reality this time.
Kiran Kumar Reddy met the AICC President Sonia Gandhi and expressed his view about the pros and cons of bifurcation of the State from the view point of the political gains to the Congress party. They also discussed about the resignation letters submitted by the Members of the Assembly.
But one thing is clear that it is not yet clear to the Congress Party as to the course of action.
