With the Intelligence Bureau notifying the state police forces that there could be more terrorist activity in the 48 hrs, the security checks have been taken up to a frenetic level. The IB quoted that there could be sleeper cells associated with the terrorists that might cause some unwanted devastation and more loss of life and property. Security has been heightened and over 3,500 cameras have been installed all over the city.
With the Mahasivaratri in view, there could be more terrorist activities the IB suggested since the terrorist activities were anti-communal in nature majorly. On March 10th the day of the festival, there would be more security at all the major temples in the city, the police said. All the points of interest in the city and cultural places have more security to keep an eye out on the activities.
The police urged all the people to cooperate with the security checks at all the busy places and also report to them on the phone numbers or police hot line number 100 if they find some abandoned vehicles, suspicious persons or items.
The newer threat alert has alarmed the people in the city who are still reeling back form the Feb 21st blasts. The police are making sure that they don't make the mistake that they earlier comitted with the security lapse. Cooperation between the police and the civilians will make their job easier.
