Balasaheb Thackeray, the Shiv Sena supremo's health has deteriorated greatly by Wednesday evening which has caused Maharashtra to be on high already. The ailing leader is currently surviving on life support after suffering from numerous illnesses, primarily respiratory and other age related.
Several thousands of party members are currently standing outside Matoshree, Bandra, the chief's residence at Suburban Mumbai. High tension prevails in the metro of Mumbai as all the people have been praying for his good health. Maharashtra Government has also issued a red alert in the state.
Barricades barred traffic moving towards the residence as a few party leaders even had to stop at the barricades and then walk to his home from the Western Express Highway to Matoshree.
Uddhav Thackeray, the son of the Supremo has urged the members of the party to maintain peace. He has taken over the father as the working president of the party. He has told that they have not lost hope and the strong will power of their leader would help him emerge safe from the “critical” condition.
Big B Amitabh Bachchan along with Abhishek have paid a visit to enquire about Thackeray. The Bachchans had a hard time gaining access to Matoshree after the huge gathering at the Bandra residence.
The whole Thackeray family, espoused nephew Raj Thackeray, and top Shiv Sena leaders like Manohar Joshi, Subhash Desai and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vinod Tawade are camping at the residence since midnight.
