TD leaders intensify their protest

TDP, the main opposition in the state, seems to be determined in cornering Congress in the state over several issues. While several leaders from TD were talking on multiple issues, the main focus of Telugu Desam is on burning electricity crisis. The party, which has been demanding the ruling Congress, for giving seven hours of uninterrupted electricity supply, was even warning of staging protests across the state in case the government doesn't agree to their demands. And as said earlier, TDP plunged into the agitation episode.  And the result - tension at Indira Park of Hyderabad (the common spot where oppositions stage protests).  TDP MLA s Thalasani Srinivas, Errabelli and Mothkupalli along with some MLC s and activists staged a massive dharna at Indira park against the alleged insensitive approach of the government towards the frequent power cuts in the state.

The sources said that TD supremo Chandrababu Naidu himself will take part in the protest at the park. The leaders made it clear that their agitations would go on in full swing until government agrees to provide seven hours of power supply to farmers. The angered leaders - during their protest-gave an ultimatum to the government stating that the CM should respond on this issue. Since there was no response from Kiran Kumar, the TD leaders tried to march towards secretariat in order to besiege it. They were, however, obstructed and arrested by the police, who had shifted them to Musheerabad police station.
