The arrested former IAS officer, Sri Lakshmi's bail has been turned down by the High Court. Sri Lakshmi was arrested by CBI in connection with controversial government order, which granted mining lease in Anantapur district to Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC). The CBI, which had been trying the case, remanded Sri Lakshmi to judicial custody.
Sri Lakshmi approached the High Court of Andhra Pradesh for a bail and today the High Court has quashed her petition. Sri Lakshmi is currently in Chanchalguda in Hyderabad.
