As High Court rejected his plea to allow him to continue in the services, DGP Dinesh Reddy has no option but to retire.  

Arrangements are made for the farewell parade at Ambarpet CPL grounds.  The occasion will be attended by the top police officers.  

New DGP is yet to be selected by the Government.  Prasada Rao, Aruna Bahuguna, T P Dass and Huda have fair chances of getting selected.  

The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) refused to grant him a continuation of one more year.  Dinesh Reddy moved a House motion in the High Court.  But the High Court’s observation was in accordance to the CAT.  As such the Government announced on Saturday that Dinesh Reddy will retire on Monday.
