After a huge arguments, High Court of Andhra Pradesh has decided to postpone the Municipal elections results by one week. Municipal elections which are held on Sunday i.e, March 30 are expected to have their results on April 2nd. However, with petitions to postpone the results after general elections has been ruled out by High Court.
The Apex court of the state also opined that Election Commission's arguments are valid and the influence of these results may not affect a common voter. “The EC arguments are true and they can't be ignored. If voter is undecided about whom to vote, then he/she is unfit to vote,” said the High Court.
With no change in date of Municipal results, the Political parties are worried whether these results have any influence in the general elections which are due on April 30th and May 7th.
