One More Setback For AP Government In Capital Issue

One More Setback For AP Government In Capital Issue:- The government of Andhra Pradesh received a series of shocks from the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Supreme Court in several issues. In one more major setback, the Supreme Court today turned down the leave petition seeking a stay in the interim orders of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. The interim orders are issued to maintain status quo on the formation of the three capital cities in Andhra PRadesh. The Supreme Court heard the petition and it said that cannot take up the case which was cleared in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

The Supreme Court asked the AP Government to get it resolved in the High Court of the state. The AP Government argued thaat the High Court issued orders to stay the implementation of the gazette notifications of the AP's CRDA bill of three capitals in Andhra Pradesh. The government of Andhra Pradesh wanted to stay the High Court's order but it received a shock in the Supreme Court. The High Court's bench on August 4th comprising of Justice Rakesh Kumar, Justice Sesha Sai and Justice Satyanaryana Murthy ordered stay for ten days in the implementation of the three capital bill in the state. The AP Government wanted to move the executive capital of the state to Vizag from August 15th but the plans were put on hold after the High Court's move.
