Commemorating the annual Jagannath Rathyatra in Puri of Odisha, the Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan started Jagannath Rathyatra at Jagannath Temple in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad. The beautifully decorated deities-Lord Jagannath, Bala Rama and their sister Subhadra were taken out on a majectic procession. A large number of devotees in the city thronged the temple to have a glimpse of the celestial event.  Tight security has been beefed up to make sure that no untoward incidents occur.

After taking part in the programme, Governor ESL Narasimhan has spoken to the media. He has said that he wished that people in state live in peace and prospeperity.
