The CBI court of Hyderabad today adjourned till September 22 the hearing on the bail application of the arrested mining mafia don, Mr Gali Janardhan reddy and his brother-in-law, Mr Srinivasa reddy.
The court also extended till September 21 the hearing on the application of the CBI which sought their custody for further interrogation. The CBI told the court that the arrested duo didn’t open their mouths during the interrogation in the last five days.
“We have recovered cash and gold from their bank lockers and we have to find out their sources and we also need to get information from them on the areas of illegal mining undertaken by the Obulapuram Mining Company,” said the CBI in its application seeking their custody for some more days.
The investigating agency told the court that some witnesses are coming forward to prove the illegal mining allegations against Gali brothers and if the arrested duo may destroy evidences if they are released on bail.
Meanwhile, the CBI today served notices on three persons, closely associated with Gali brothers asking them to attend a questioning session tomorrow at its offices in Hyderabad. The three persons who received notices from the CBI are Sandur Manju, Swastik Naga raju and K. Mahesh whose houses in Hospet were raided today.
