Mr. Gali Karunakara reddy, brother of the arrested mining mafia don Mr Gali Janardhan reddy, today appeared before the CBI in Hyderabad and attended a questioning session on illegal mining undertaken by the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), their properties and bank accounts.
In a related development, former mining department director Mr Rajagopal appeared before the CBI for the second consecutive day today on receiving summons from the investigating agency. He was grilled on his role in allowing illegal mining by the OMC owned by Gali brothers.
Meanwhile, Mr. Vijayasai Reddy, vice chairman of the Jagathi Publications, attended before the CBI for the 15th day in a row in the case registered against YSR Congress president, Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy for possessing illegal assets.
Simultaneously, several persons who bought villas and plots in Emaar Estates in Hyderabad also attended the CBI questioning and recorded their statements in the APIIC-Emaar land scam. A group of CBI officials went to the residence of former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and recorded the statement of his daughter-in-law Ms Brahmani.
They have also recorded the statements of Galla Padmavathi, daughter of minister Galla Arunakumari and Ms. Ramadevi, wife of NTV Chairman Mr. Narendra Chaudary at their residences.
