Mining czar Gali bail plea rejected

GaliAtCourtThe Nampally Criminal Court today dismissed the bail petitions of the tainted mining czar, Mr Gali Janardhan Reddy and his cousin Mr Srinivasa Reddy who were arrested in the illegal mining case on September 5 and lodged in the Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad.

CBI court, presided over by Mr Naga Maruthi Sarma, also accepted the plea of the CBI to hand over the two accused to them for further interrogation and investigation. Further to its orders, the court directed the CBI to take both Janardhan reddy and Srinivasa reddy into their custody today. Both of them will be in CBI custody till 10.30 am on September 19.

The court heard the arguments of the counsel for CBI and the accused whole day on Monday and delivered its judgment this morning.

During the custody, CBI teams will interrogate Janardhan reddy and Srinivasa reddy and extract information from them on the involvement of the officials in the illegal mining.
