Protesting against the dastardly bomb attack at the Delhi High Court by the terrorists on Wednesday in which 11 persons were killed and more than 65 injured, lawyers today boycotted courts across Andhra Pradesh resulting in adjournment of thousands of court cases.
Lawyers resorted to the step following a call by the AP Bar Association to its members to strike work.
In Hyderabad, lawyers boycotted proceedings at the state High Court, Nampally Court premises and other courts. They raised slogans denouncing terrorism and bomb blasts and demanded government to provide proper security to lawyers, judges and court premises.
Gali, CBI petitions adjourned
As a result, the CBI court at Nampally adjourned to tomorrow hearing on the bail petition of the arrested mining mafia don Mr Gali Janardhan Reddy and that of the CBI which sought his custody for further interrogation.
