Hyderabad CID police today denied media reports that Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri murder case, has surrendered in a Maharashtra court.
“No, Bhanu Kiran has not surrendered nor did we arrest him,” CID DG Ramana Murthy told a press conference in Hyderabad this afternoon. “The news of his surrender or arrest is false.”
Earlier, some Telugu TV channels reported that Bhanu Kiran had surrendered in a Maharashtra court. Police however seem to be zeroing in on his whereabouts through the inputs provided by the arrested cine producers Singanamala Ramesh and Chillara Kalyan who are now in Charlapally jail.
