The prime accused in the murder of the faction leader, Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy, Bhanu Kiran undertook medical tests at the Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday.  Bhanu Kiran was brought to the hospital by CID officials as a part of the regular check-up.

It may be recalled that as per the order of the Magistrate who gave Bhanu to CID custody, Bhanu Kiran has to undergo medical tests for every 48 hours. Meanwhile, the doctors at Osmania Hospital have said that the condition of Bhanu Kiran was perfect.

Bhanu was given to CID custody two weeks back on Monday. The court asked CID sleuths not to use third degree on Bhanu and he be interrogated only in the presence of advocates.

Notably, Bhanu Kiran’s CID custody will be concluded today and he will be submitted before the Magistrate. Sources said that CID officials are likely to seek the extension of Bhanu’s custody in order to unearth more facts that led to the murder of the Anantapur faction leader. (Phani)
