No relief for Sirish Bharadwaj in SC

No relief for Sirish Bharadwaj in SCThe Supreme Court vacation bench, consisting of Justices GS Singhvi and CK Prasad, on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail application of Sirish Bharadwaj, the son-in-law of the mega star and PRP leader Mr Chiranjeevi.

The name of Bharadwaj has been recently added to the absconders’ list by the Hyderabad police after he disappeared simply following a complaint against him by his estranged wife Srija under Anti-dowry Act and Domestic Violence Act.

Dismissing his petition, the SC asked Bharadwaj’s lawyer to ask his client to surrender before the court concerned in Hyderabad and then seek a regular bail. Bharadwaj had moved the apex court for anticipatory bail after the AP High Court rejected it on April 6.

After the High Court rejected his pre-arrest bail, Bharadwaj could not be traced by police forcing them to treat him as an absconder.
