Speaker Nadendla Manohar today accepted the plea of rebel TDP MLA Mr. Nallapureddy Prasannakumar reddy who sought two weeks’ time to submit a counter affidavit on the response of the TDP leadership on his disqualification issue.

 

Prasannakumar reddy, who received the notice of Speaker on the petition of TDP for his disqualification, today appeared in person before the Speaker and submitted his arguments through his lawyer. He has already sent a written reply to the notice.

 

TDP whip replied to the arguments immediately but Prasannakumar reddy sought two weeks time from the Speaker to reply to the argument of his party. He also sought permission to cross- examine the whip of the TDP on the disqualification issue but Nadendla Manohar refused the request while giving the two weeks time to submit the counter affidavit.

 

The TDP whip opposed the Speaker’s decision in granting two weeks time but the Speaker overruled the objection.
