This may be a bitter news to the Telangana MLAs but the Assembly sources say that Voting on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill 2013 is likely to take place at the end of debate. However, no official confirmation has been out and Speaker Nadendla Manohar wants keep this news under the mat as voting would interrupt the housing proceedings which underwent smoothly.
In reply to TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju's query, Speaker Manohar said, BAC will take a decision of Voting. “Different members gave their views, and it has been conveyed to all members. The House will take appropriate action in accordance with the rights of the members following the ongoing debate,” added Speaker.
AP incharge Digvijaya Singh's words also strengthened on voting as he said, “I never said there won't be any voting on Telangana Bill. But it is upto the Assembly speaker Manohar to decide on it.” CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is also maintaining silence in this regards to surprise the MLAs of the house. But this would land him trouble as Telangana Congress MLAs would hit him hard.
Earlier this week, Ministry of Home Affairs, clarified that there won't be any voting or amendments to be made in Telangana Bill and it invited only an opinion on the bill. What if the AP government introduces voting and how would Home ministry would react to it, only time can answer these questions.
