The general elections are less than two years from now and all political parties are concentrating as to how to attract the public to come to power while Congress is focussing on retaining its power. TDP,YSRC went ahead with padayatra walk by foot while Congress staged Indirammabaata. With so many promises and criticism, people are reportedly getting fed up with the political promises in the state. In the wake of such talks, which party would come to power in 2014 has become an interesting talk.
Congress: Congress has reportedly confused the public to the core with so much of internal politics. Party leaders are fighting among themselves and openly raising fingers at each other. In fact, the party high command itself openly admitted that there were complaints against chief minister Kiran Kumar and he would be summoned to Delhi to seek an explanation.
Strong points to retain power:
-
The observers said that there are a few points on which Congress party should focus in order to retain power in the state. They include:
-
Announcing that Chiranjeevi is the next chief minister candidate of Congress with immediate effect
-
Due importance to PRP cadre
-
Inviting TRS to merge with it
or
-
Inviting YSRC to merge with it
-
Promising on the welfare of Muslim brethren
-
Reducing the essential commodities' price to half
-
Taking some exclusive steps that NTR took once-such as madyapananishedam-banning of alcohol in order to counter the allegations of liquor syndicate
-
Opening doors for other leaders to join Congress
-
Reshuffling the state cabinet
-
Asking ministers, who received complaints from the Supreme Court over 26 controversial GO s, to resign for their ministries
-
Asking MP s from Telangana region to stop creating rucks at parliament
TDP: The best alternative apparently available to the people in Andhra Pradesh is Telugu Desam Party. People, especially in urban areas such as Hyderabad, have seen the tenure of Babu and apparently want Babu to come back to power. It was farmers and rural area people who went against TDP in the past. And TDP now doesn't want to leave any stone unturned. That's the reason why its supremo Babu is taking out padayatra in rural areas and promising them a better life.
Strong points to come back to power:
To promise that all the vows of legendary Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao would be fulfilled
To stress that medical education would not be privatized
Concentrating on welfare of Muslim brethren in the state
Promising that prices of essential commodities would be reduced to half
Allying with left parties and taking on FDI at national level by working closely with Trinamool Congress
While these points are some of the meritorious ones for these parties, which can be be fruitful to them, according to the observers, other parties such as TRS and YSRC have little or no scope to form government at the state level. They said at the maximum, YSRC would play big in Seemandhra region while TRS in Telangana region. Anyway, already TDP started promising on Muslim brethren welfare and apparently started winning the confidence of the rural people too. Therefore, Congress should concentrate on 2014 elections seriously lest it would be late. Congress should announce Chiranjeevi as the chief minister candidate because Chiranjeevi has huge fan base especially in many parts of coastal Andhra regions and even in Tirupati.
