Former minister and Congress senior leader Shankar Rao, who claims himself as loyalist to Gandhis, has taken on chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy yet another time. He has alleged that chief minister's agenda was probably to damage Congress party. He has also said that people who were going against the party wishes were given chief minister posts. He has also said that these were the Kiran Kumar Reddy as the chief minister. He even mentioned that there would be a change in the top leadership soon. These statements of Shankar Rao has triggered a debate in the state. The political observers, who had been speculating change of CM, now got strength to their arguments. They reiterated that Congress high command would soon replace Kiran Kumar Reddy with Chiranjeevi.
They argued that Chiranjeevi was the only right person for the Congress party to put a check to Jaganmohan Reddy. Also, Chiranjeevi has complete support from backward communities and voters for backward communities form major part of AP, they added. In case something like what Shankar Rao and observers said happens, will Chiru become chief minister? Will the dreams of scores of people in Andhra turn fruitful? Time alone has answers to these questions.
