TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu's Vastunna Meekosam padayatra is going on in full swing. He's currently touring Nizamabad district and this happens to be his fifth district, which entered the books of Vastunna Meekosam. Chandrababu Naidu first kick started his padayatra from Anantapur district on October 2 from where he entered Kurnool district and then Rangareddy, Medak districts and now finally Mahabubnagar district.
If there's any padayatra that has received the same response that late YSR's padayatra received, then it has to be Vastunna Meekosam, said observers. Looking at Chandrababu Naidu, people have been expressing their joys. They have been sharing the tales of pains and agonies to Babu and Chandrababu, in turn, has been wiping their tears. He's even given confidence to them in the form of promises. When one girl asked that she was deprived of education since she hailed from poor background and doesn't even have reservation since she was from upper community, Babu immediately responded and said that when TDP comes to power it would give reservations to the economically backward people.
Babu even spoke to farmers and all of them were reportedly happy with Chandrababu. His promises to farmers brought big smiles on their faces. Chandrababu said all the loans that farmers took would be waived off completely when TDP forms the government in 2014. On Friday, Chandrababu Naidu toured Banswada wherein he was welcomed by a large number of people from lambada community too.
The observers said that Chandrababu Naidu is most likely to come to power in 2014 to make the state Swarnandhra Pradesh. The Congress, on the other hand, has grim chances to retain power unless it takes some strong decision as soon as possible, they stressed. The only available option to drag people attention from TDP is—to make the dynamic personality Chiranjeevi, the chief minister candidate for 2014 elections. Chandrababu Naidu is no doubt creating waves with Vastunna Meekosam. But Congress is having a gem in its hand-Chiranjeevi. One word from Congress, Chiru is the CM candidate, will remove all apprehensions from the minds of people. Will Congress field in Chiranjeevi to counter Chandrababu Naidu or will it keep dilly-dallying on the CM candidate? It's a million dollar question.
