With the Exit Polls predicting Narendra Modi way to New Delhi, the Gujarat CM has called for a meeting today evening of all his party's state legislators in Gandhinagar to choose his successor. Sources say that Finance Minister Nitinbhai Patel could be the next Gujarat Chief Minister.
Recenlty Nitinbhai expressed his views to chair the top Gujarat post, however Narendra Modi wants to select a candidate who will be accepted by the all law makers. Meanwhile the Gujarat BJP has said, the meeting slated for today has no importance and claimed it is a routine meeting that Modi hosts every alternative Tuesday.
The BJP high command is also doing its ground work for the next Gujarat CM and will look at Modi's choice.
