NO to third term: Manmohan

Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh has ruled out to continue in the PM seat for the third term if UPA alliance comes into power in 2014 elections. Addressing the press conference about UPA government's progress in past 10 years, Manmohan looked to be in no mood to handled the PM post again. When asked about who can crown the UPA government's next PM chair, he replied Rahul Gandhi has all the credentials to fill the shoes of PM post.

Manmohan slammed BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and said “I would like to say that Narendra Modi as India's Prime Minister will be disastrous for the country. The Congress would announce its PM candidate at an appropriate time.”

Reporting about his tenure, “We have been through many ups and down, but the growth rate that has been achieved in the nine-year period is the highest compared to any other nine-year period. The UPA government is committed to eradicate corruption and major laws have been introduced over the past decade.”

This is the second full-fledged press conference by Manmohan during the UPA-II and third in his entire tenure.
