The U.S. military has always relied heavily on drones for both bombing and surveillance missions. One of the biggest advantages of these unmanned aerial vehicles is that they can be piloted mechanically, thereby reducing risk on human lives.
Although drones have been subjected to myriad controversies, it seems the U.S. Military force is keen on bettering their aerial carriers. Buzz is that high-tech drones are under development for the U.S military and navy.
High-tech unmanned carriers like the Northrop Grumman X-47B drone, the Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton, the Boeing Phantom Ray, the Northrop Grumman MQ-8C Fire-X, Lockheed Martin Sea Ghost, Boeing Phantom Eye, Boeing Insitu RQ-21 Integrator and ultra-secret Boeing Long-Range Strike-B Heavy Bomber Program are being developed for U.S military and navy.
These avantgarde drones boasts of features that have been never seen or heard of before. Some of them are expected to start operating by 2015 while some might take as long as five years to start operating.
