Indigenous counter-drone technology at Indian borders says Amit Shah:- Union Home Minister Amit Shah revealed that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) along with other agencies are working on the indigenous counter-drone technology and this will be available very soon. He said that all the gaps at the Indian borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh will be covered with fencing by 2022. A Pakistani drone reached the Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Jammu and Kashmir with explosives on June 27th. Amit Shah's comments came two weeks after the drone attack. The attack left two people injured and the Indian borders spotted drones repeatedly.

"Smuggling of arms, drugs and explosives through drones and tunnels turned out to be a major challenge at the borders. We have to deal with these challenges at the earliest. We are soon going to introduce the anti-drone technology at the borders and the technology is Indian made" told Amit Shah at the investiture ceremony of the Border Security Force (BSF). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently investigating the drone case. The terror attacks through drones in Jammu and Kashmir have increased recently and reports said that there are 300 drones used along the border by the Pakistan from 2019. The Centre is quite keen on the security after the recent incidents and decided to tighten the security and strengthen the borders.
