More Special Trains for Ganesh Chaturthi

Apart from the 134 new Ganpati Special Trains announced in the routes of the Konkan Railways not long ago, Central Railways and Konkan Railways have now introduced four more trains that would ease the journeys of the passengers. These newer special trains would ply from Lokamanya Tilak and Sawantawadi stations.

They trains have stops at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur, Vaibhavwadi, Nandgaon, Kankavali, Sindhudurg and Kudal stations.
 
Each train would have 22 coaches, of which 12 would be sleeper, Two AC 3-Tiers, One AC 2 -Tier, Five General, Two and SLR Coaches. The total number of trains for tackling the excessive footfalls would rise to 138 after the newest addition.
