Anti-corruption Bureau seeks to interrogate Bhujbal

The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Maharashtra had sought the permission of the state's Home Department to interrogate Chhagan Bhujbal, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party and also the Minister of Public Works Department of the state for his alleged involvement in the Maharashtra Sadan scam.

It is essential that the Home Department agrees for any inquiry against a public servant for the state. The Maharashtra Sadan was a large luxurious guest house owned by the government in New Delhi. According to the allegations from BJP the cost to government for this building had crossed a whopping Rs 10,000 crore. It has also alleged that Mr Bhujbal misused his power in the state to the benefit of the companies linked to his relatives
