Moscow bound flight emergency landing in Iceland after bomb threat

A passenger flight that was carrying over 253 people from the JFK International Airport in New York, to Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow was forced to make an emergency landing on Thursday after they received information that the flight had a bomb on board after the flight took off from New York.
According to the Russian airline spokeswoman for Aeroflot, the organization had received a call saying that there was an explosive on the flight. She added that the pilots decided to land the plane safely in Iceland and evacuate the plane to conduct thorough search for the bomb on the Aeroflot 103.
The threat for a bomb was received from an anonymous caller, according to the Russian News agency Interflax, earlier than 5:30 am GMT after which it landed in Keflavik, Iceland. to U.S. law enforcement agencies claiming that five suitcases were filled with explosive materials and that they would detonate upon arrival in Moscow. The call mentioned more than five explosive filled suitcases were on board.
Another flight in Voronezh was also searched for explosives after they received the call. However, no bombs were discovered.
