Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chawan along with deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar met the ailing union minister and former Maha CM, Vilasrao Deshmukh at Global Hospital in Chennai. The sources said that the duo left for Chennai after they winded up the cabinet meeting and arrived at the hospital after 6 pm. In a special flight from Mumbai, the duo and another 10 members arrived in Chennai.
After meeting Vilasrao Deshmukh, the top leadership in Maharashtra left for Mumbai without addressing the media. It may be noted that Vilasrao Deshmukh was admitted to Global Hospital in Chennai late last night over kidney and liver related ailment. The sources said doctors indicated the need of liver transplantation to Vilasrao Deshmukh.
