Vilasrao Deshmukh, the former Maharashtra CM who passed away today, always adored actor Shatrughan Sinha. Right from body language to dialogue delivery, Vilasrao Deshmukh imitated Shatrughan Sinha, a top film star during 1960s. The sources said that Vilasrao Deshmukh wanted to become a film actor. However, his focus shifted from entertainment to public issues after he came across public grievances. And he became the chief minister of Maharashtra in 1999.

Although Vilasrao Deshmukh could not become an actor, he fulfilled his dreams by making his son Riteish Deshmukh a top Bollywood actor. It may be noted that Riteish Deshmukh recently wedded film actress Genelia. Vilasrao Deshmukh, even after becoming the chief minister, didn't overlook the art.
