Baba Ramdev was questioned by Team Anna after he had joined hands and shared the dias with Narendra Modi, CM of Gujarat only two days after he had brought his crowd to the hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. The environment of conflict had manifested with this incident.

Sanjay Singh had described the CM of Gujarat as a “Murderer of Humanity”on the 5th day of the agitation when the crowd seemed to have improved slightly. He also asked Baba Ramdev to clarify. However, Ramdev had yet again supported Modi by giving him a clean chit. He said, "He has not done anything wrong."

"We were never in agreement with Modi. We are not in agreement even now. Narendra Modi is a murderer of humanity. It is for Ramdev to clarify on the issue," Sanjay Singh said. Sanjay was in charge of the proceedings at the fast venue. Anna Hazare however has not said anything about this and just sat mum.
