Akhilesh Yadav had reacted harshly agains the Khap panchayats after the incident in Bagphat. He said that he would no longer tolerate any action that would curb the freedom of the people. He has also mentioned that he would  not silently observe their antics. He added that the decisions taken by the Khaps should be only in the interest of the people and their freedom but not against them.

He also said that Samajwadi Party was one such government that was determined to the all round development of UP.

He has also stressed on the cluster development in the state of the small scale industries. They were working to give the traditional crafts in the state a boost. He also said that he would make a singe window clearance of Udyog Bandhu available all over the state to invite many entrepreneurs in the state.

He has several other plans like reforms to be conducted in the sugar cane plants. It has been estimated that the molasses from the industry has the potential to generate over 700 MW of power which can be utilized by the state. He also expressed the need to work with the governments in Uttarakhand and Bihar to make Ganga and Yamuna better rivers as they were in the past.
