A hostel warden of Patha Bhavan School, Santiniketan, West Bengal was arrested after he forced a girl to lick her urine.

This incident happened on the night of Saturday, in the school hostel. Uma Poddar was caught after the daily inspection that she had wetted her bed. She was being treated for bed wetting and instead of giving her pills the warden had devised his own way of treatment. He forced the girl to like her wet bedsheet as a treatment to curb the habit.

Soon after the parents learnt of this incident, they stormed to the hostel and even manhandled the hostel warden. Later they were arrested by the police for tresspassing the hostel without permission.

The Visva Bharati University authorities constituted a committee of 4, to find out about the misdeeds of the warden and truth in the allegation. National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR)  has come to know of the incident and demanded a report from the University.
