Film Actress Laila Khan who was missing since Febuary 2011 was confirmed to be dead after a confession made by Parved Iqbal Tak, the prime suspect in the missing case. He admitted that Laila Khan alon with her family and a friend were all murdered in Febuary 2011 in Maharashtra.

Tak who has been in the custody of J&K police under some case, was also registered under a kidnapping case by the Mumbai police on Tuesday.

Gareeb Das of J&K police said that Tak revealed that gunshots were involved in the murder but there would be no confirmation until their bodies have been found. He also refused to disclose information as it could hinder the probe by the state anti-terrorism department.

Laila was reported to be in Dubai although there was no registration at the airports that confirmed her presence. Reshma Patel, under the stage name Laila Khan, was last seen in the movie Wafa by Rajesh Khanna.

Laila had close contacts with Lashkar militant Tak whom she met through Bangladesh Based Terrorist Munir Khan her alleged husband. Laila had a role to play in Delhi High Court Blasts. A Mitsubishi Outlander registered in Laila's Mother's name Saleena Patel was used to transport explosives.
