Self-styled godman Nithyananda's bail petition would come up for hearing before Ramnagara district court on Thursday. It is known that this court remanded Nithyananda for a day after he surrended in the court on Wednesday. There was an arrest warrant issued against him and the police launched a man hunt to nab him in connection with the scuffle that took place between Nithyananda's followers and a newschannel reporter.
The Karnataka chief minister Sadananda Gowda said on Sunday that Nithyananda would be arrested within two days. He came to this decision after holding a high level police meeting in Bengaluru. The sources said chief minister saw the interview that a US based woman gave to a local channel as to how she had been raped and blackmailed by Nithyananda Swamy for five years (from 2005 to 2010).
