The prime accused in 2G scam and the former telecom minister Raja has received a warm welcome by DMK top leadership at the Chennai airport on Friday. The supporters, who thronged Kamaraj airport, wore t-shirts on which slogans supporting Raja were written. They even raised slogans in support of Raja. The former minister waved hands at the public and then boarded the vehicle that headed to DMK supremo Karunanidhi’s residence.

Raja, who was arrested last year in connection with the case by CBI, was remanded to Tihar Jail.  He recently received a bail on the condition that he should not visit Tamil Nadu and the ministry of telecom. However, Raja appealed to the CBI Court he may be allowed to visit his home state since summer holidays for court are underway. The court nodded  his request and gave a couple of days for him to stay in Tamil Nadu. He should mark his presence in Delhi on June 30.
