The CBI sleuths have filed a petition with the Andhra Pradesh High Court challenging the bail granted to the Karnataka former tourism minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who is the prime accused in irregularities that took place on Andhra-Karnataka border.
The CBI, in the petition, has requested the court that Gali is likely to alter the witnesses in the case and therefore urged it to cancel the bail. It may be recalled that the Criminal Court in Nampally has granted bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy earlier. The CBI opposed the idea of granting bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy that time too. Nonetheless, the court granted bail. Therefore, the Central Bureau of Investigation has approached the High Court to appeal against the bail granted on Gali.
Will court cancel bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy has become the talk of the town. We have to wait and see whether the court is going to cancel the bail or not. All in all, CBI is having handful of work. CBI is probing Gali case, Jagan’s disproportionate case and also Yedyurappa’s case. (Phani)
