'The shootout in Uttar Pradesh,' don't think this is another flick. It's an incident that took place in day light in Gorakhpur. At least six persons armed with guns chased one Pappu Nishad, a local leader opening rounds of fire. Pappu didn't die, but the firing injured four persons including a boy.

Re-action from the government:

The entire shootout that was captured in a CCTV camera sent shockwaves among locals, who should actually think of government for ensuring safety but they have no other option other than to apparently leave it to God but what if government says that even God can’t stop the crime?

Reacting on the shootout, minister for stamp, court fees and registration, Durga Prasad Yadav has said that crime keeps on happening. Even God cannot stop it. He has, however, said strict action needs to be taken against the miscreants.

The police, on the other hand call it as gang war. Whether it’s a gang war or whatsoever, the incident took law and order for a toll and questioned the presence of policing in the state. (Phani)
