The unemployed youth in the country (a few of them) are resorting to dubious methods to fund their luxuries. This is a growing concern as the crime rate is increasing.
Crime cases like chain snatching, drug pedaling and thefts have off late increased by many folds. But the intriguing aspect in these incidents is the involvement of youth. Strong steps have to be taken to curb this growing menace. The mystery of two youth in Mumbai hailing from very poor families wearing expensive brands and spending sizable chunk at pubs brought forth a case for introspection. The case only shows that how youth are lured to luxuries and would stoop down to any extent to fund their rendezvous at nightclubs.
The case unearthed at Mumbai is about a duo, Pinto alias Amardeep Singh alias Shyam Bhau (22), and Sainath Aarote (21) who were living in Makadwala Compound on New Mill Road in Kurla (West). But in spite of their poor backgrounds, used to wear expensive brands and travel frequently by auto to Madness pub in Khar and Pulse in Bandra. The police, who have informers all over, got a tip off about the luxury life style of the youth. Suspecting foul play, cops followed the youth under cover of darkness, only to confirm their reports. After thorough assessment the cops intercepted the youth, who revealed that the luxury night lifestyle was funded by their daylight robberies.
